our nonprofit

We won’t stop until all can play on a playground.

Minnesota Play for All started as a simple fix by 5th- and 6th-grade students to add an accessible swing to their elementary school playground. It grew into a beautiful passion project that was bigger than we could have imagined. After students completed a fully accessible playground, they decided to start a club and non-profit at their now middle school.

Our mission: To make sure everyone has fun and is included.

The students have set their sights on a new project, an accessible playspace at their new middle school. In the future, they hope to continue to educate others about accessible playgrounds AND be able to support Minnesota communities on their accessible playground journeys.

This is a lofty goal, but we truly believe this group of students are the future and they don’t want to stop until ALL can play on a playground.

Our Future project

West Middle School Accessible Playspace

Our Students have a future project: Build an accessible play space at our middle school! They’re working closely with three local playground companies, have designs and bids, and are in the subsequent phases of tweaking and gaining community and school insight on our final three designs. Our current budget is $400,000. We envision creating a play space here at Hopkins West Middle School by summer of 2027.

Our Club

Building strong friendships and communities through play for all.

Middle School students at Hopkins West have started a Play for All club. We play games together, go on field trips, work on service projects, and love being together.
